Mizuno Wave Ignitus II Football Boots - Black/Pink

Since the Mizuno Wave Ignitus first exploded onto pitches worldwide in 2010, it has gone from strength to strength and now challenges football's power boot hierarchy, and is held in the same esteem as the Predator and Laser.

Quite an achievement by Mizuno, so to announce the arrival of their second incarnation of the Ignitus, they've opted for a bold colourway.A classic stealth black upper, is interrupted with a bright pink that pops off the boot! A colour combination we haven't seen since the hugely popular Nike Mercurial SL football boots.

For the Mizuno Ignitus II football boots, the focus is once again on the Mukaiten panel. An innovative piece of technology unique and exclusive to Mizuno which has been proven to aid the performance of such wearers as Keisuke Honda. The word 'Mukaiten' simply means "no spin", so the strategically placed panel on the instep of the boot is engineered to give the ball an unpredictable flight path - intended to confuse and fool the opposition and goalkeeper.

The Mukaiten panel is wrapped around by the 360 degree Bio Vamps, re-designed for the Ignitus II soccer shoes. The much more aggressive panels generate increased friction and control at ball contact, and have been integrated into a new lacing system which enlarges the striking area. As the panels continue to spread over the instep and forefoot, the Ignitus II offers enhanced control and power.

The upper is made from a soft K-leather material which has been re-constructed specifically for the Ignitus. Touch and feel - two more Mizuno hallmarks - are further enhanced with this soft upper and you'll be surprised how light the boot feels.

As we've mentioned already, Mizuno are famous for their fit and comfort - and the incorporation of Wave technology in the Mizuno Wave Ignitus II soccer shoes only further adds to this notion. The Wave tech improves cushioning and stability in the outsole which combined with the bladed stud configuration delivers unrivalled traction.

The Ignitus features a triple density heel counter, designed with the input and assistance of Japan's Keisuke Honda. The triple Pebax density heel counter offers improved fit, comfort and most importantly improves protection from serious injury.
